— Romans 12:9The Syro-Malabar Youth Movement (SMYM) in the Eparchy of Kanjirappally is the official youth wing of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church.
Formed to drive the holistic and spiritual development of young Catholics, it operates under the patronage of the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirapally, currently led by Bishop Mar Jose Pulickal. The diocese's geographic spread spans across 148 parishes in the civil districts of Kottayam, Idukki, and Pathanamthitta in Kerala, India.

The youth movement originally functioned under the name Yuvaddepthy - KCYM (Kerala Catholic Youth Movement), becoming active in the Diocese of Kanjirapally to drive holistic youth development.
KCYM conducts four historic regional rallies starting from Kanjirapally, Kollam, Kodungalloor, and Thrissur during the World Peace Year.
The Syro-Malabar Laity Commission initiates efforts to unify various youth ministries across the globe under one banner.
On August 30, 2014, the Synod of Bishops approves and officially launches the unified global Syro-Malabar Youth Movement (SMYM) structure.
KCYM Senate meetings officially incorporate SMYM and other rite-based movements into a coordinated state federation structure.
A team dedicated to serving with faith, leadership, and commitment.

Faith-based outreach, Bible study, and Catholic identity formation on college campuses.
Runs institutional anti-substance abuse workshops on local campuses to empower youth.
Sets up functional de-addiction hubs and safe peer support recovery circles.
Residential leadership and spiritual formation camps, including the flagship Camp Insight.
Structured programs to develop confident, Christ-centered leaders for Church and society.
Organizes direct community assistance during crises, raising relief funds and deploying food shipments (like bread and milk packs) to flood-affected communities like Chellanam.
Regular gatherings for communal prayer, scripture reflection, and Eucharistic adoration.
Promotes youth interaction and physical health by hosting events, including the diocesan "Serve & Smash" volleyball tournament.
