A Legacy That
Continues

"Organizing youth is about coordinating human potentials on Gospel values to make them effective agents of change."

KCYM Vision

The history of organized Catholic youth activities in Kerala is a legacy of spiritual depth, active leadership, and societal transformation. In the late 1960s, dioceses across Kerala felt the urge to organize Catholic youth to channel their youthfulness for the betterment of the Church and society.

This path was profoundly shaped by the vision inspired by the Second Vatican Council and Pope Paul VI's call to empower young people to be active participants in the mission of the Church.

Over decades, this movement nurtured youth leadership, instilled a deep sense of faith, drove impactful community service, enabled modern evangelization, and built strong commitment toward social responsibility across generations of young believers.
